تحریف نام خلیج پارس اینبار توسط کاخ سفید

هم میهنان گرامی

کاخ سفید در یک گزارش یازده صفحه ای خود با عنوان "استراتژی ملی برای ضد تروریسم" از نام دروغین و ساختگی "خلیج ع**ی" استفاده کرده است. ما بایستی با تمام نیرو به آنان اعتراض کرده و تا دریافت پوزش و اصلاح نام، از شکایت های خود نبایستی دست برداریم.

در صفحه ۱۰ گزارش دو بار نام دروغین آورده شده است

پس از آن به صفحه های کاخ سفید، وزارت خارجه آمریکا و نیز براک اوباما در فیس بوک رفته و چون کامنت گذاشتن برروی دیوارشان ممکن نیست، اعتراضات خود را همراه با لینکی که در آن نام خلیج فارس تحریف شده است را در زیر تمام نوشته های خود آنها تکرار کنید، تا آنان به تنگنا آمده  و وادار شوند که نام دروغین تا از سایت خود بزدایند

Re: The distortion of the name of the Persian Gulf by the White House

I am writing to express my deepest objection regarding the use of recent addition of "A*****n Gulf" and revision of "Persian Gulf" in a special report titled: "National Strategy for Counter Terrorism", dated 28th June 2011 (http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/counterterrorism_strategy.pdf).

Those of us interested in historical accuracy, integrity of linguistics, political impartiality, and non-proliferation of international disputes, naturally would insist that this body of water be named correctly.  

The Persian Gulf is part of the identity of the people who live in the Iranian plateau for well over 2,500 years. The people with an Iranian background including American nationals, while respecting the multicultural mosaic of their adopted country, cherish their heritage and ancestral identity. In this light, it is very important to be accurate and to demonstrate the recognition of the international law regarding this matter.  

This term is politically charged, ethnically divisive, and historically incorrect.  The utilization of such a term can only provoke tensions and escalate confrontation in an already volatile region, and exacerbate tensions between the Iranian people and the United States.

I hereby request immediate action to rectify the mistake and to clarify to the public that the accurate internationally recognized name that the United Nations has endorsed and recognized, alongside the longstanding recognition of the US Government that “Persian Gulf” is the correct name for this body of water lies between the Iranian Plateau and the Arabian Peninsula as the Persian Gulf, and any adjective other than 'Persian' or absent thereof to modify the name is inaccurate, misrepresentative, offensive and unacceptable. 

I will be grateful if you kindly acknowledge the receipt of this email and I look forward to see your respected government adopting the correct naming convention and to take the necessary practical measures in order to prevent such an offensive act taking place in the future.
